Newly appointed elders at Memorial Road include Delta alum

Delta alum Bruce Tallon was installed as an elder at Memorial Road Church of Christ on March 5, 2006. Many don't know that the eldership at Memorial Road has many Delta connections. Bailey McBride, Max Dobson, Duane Eggleston, Danney Lidia, Joe McCormack, and Lynn McMillon all have sons who are Delta alumni and Stafford North is the uncle of Delta alumni. There are currently 7 Delta alumni serving as deacons at Memorial Road; Sheldon Adkins, Al Branch, Todd Dobson, Matt Dowell, Mike Herndon, Daryl Lidia, and Don Lidia, and 3 more Delta dads in Randy Heath, Larry Gordon, and Kenny Kaaiohelo. Delta alum Jeff McMillon is currently serving as the campus minister at Memorial Road. I know there are many other Delta alumni serving in their churches and it makes me proud to be associated with men like these.

story in today's daily oklahoman about a new mexican restaurant opening in moore, ok. by delta alum sherman reed. there's a picture of sherman and his partner bruce hill in the paper but it doesn't show up in the online edition so you will just have to imagine him as he stands in front of alfredo's mexican cafe in moore wearing a black polo shirt. he has glasses.

guys, this is a new blogsite that i have started to help our alumni to stay on top of happenings with delta brothers without bombarding you with emails. please add this to your favorites, bookmark it, or brand it to your shoulder wyatt cox style. i will not be updating it every day but as i receive info or items of interest pertaining to the Delta alumni, i will post them. please feel free to email me or comment on this blog with any info you would like to be made available.
