Teegin Coffman surgery on Monday, July 30th at OU

Please remember Curt and Jennifer Coffman and their baby Teegin Coffman as Teegin undergoes surgery this Monday to correct a narrowing of her trachea causing apnea, difficulty breathing, and possibly damaging her heart. Teegin and her twin brother Cohen were just born in December 2006. Curt and Jennifer also have a 3 yr old name Karsten. Please pray for this family.

Gary Shreck update

The following is part of an email that Paulette sent out Friday night.

Gary had a good evening. He is able to whisper talk to us some which is wonderful for him and us. He was taken off the ventilator last night and has breathed well on his.. He is able to cough and clean the tracheostomy himself which is good news. As an update to some I am going to repeat the report we received last night from the surgeon.

The tumor was very large but they were able to remove all of it and the margins around it. They did frozen pathology on the margins and they were clean - cancer free. They removed many lymph nodes but we will not know the pathology report on those for about a week. They were able to preserve the nerve to the tongue which they are not usually able to do but they were able to for Gary. This means he will be able to taste. Praise the Lord. Dr. Medina said there may still be the need for radiation therapy but that we will know more about that after the full pathology report on the tumor.

We still do not know about the swallowing and may not for a week or so.

Delta Alum Mike Bosley in Daily Oklahoman...UPDATED 7/26

Delta alum Mike Bosley, President of Oklahoma City based Beams Industries participated in a recent seminar for corporate leaders which focused on 'Growth.' Mike is quoted in the attached article and there was a picture of Mike is at the center of the pic surrounded by other panel members during the seminar. Mike and his wife Dana attend the Edmond Church of Christ.

Gary Shreck surgery scheduled for Thursday, July 26 at OUHSC

Gary called to let me know that his surgery has been scheduled for Thursday, July 26 at OUHSC. Please continue to keep Gary in your prayers. He expressed how much he has appreciated all of the cards, phone calls, emails, and thumbprints he's received from all of the Delta guys. I'm confident that Gary will get thru this and be back on the computer sending inappropriate emails before we know it. Remember Paulette, Brett, Garrick, and Tiffany too.

2nd Tuesday in July

We had a nice turnout last night at Buffalo Wild Wings. Recent Delta grad Brad Witherspoon, former prez Landon Cobb, POPS, Jimmy Arter, ELVIS, Johnny Cromling, Marc Arledge, Garrick Shreck, Jason Francis, and new Delta sponsor Michael Mitchell. Michael is the OC Alumni Relations Director and has agreed to replace Dr. Gary Shreck as Delta's primary sponsor. There may be another new Delta sponsor in the works so I will let you know when I know.

Remember to keep November 9th and 10th in your plans for OC Homecoming. This is Delta's 35th anniversary and we want our alumni to take over the OC campus at this year's Homecoming. Be talking to your wives and children and make plans to be there. We are hoping that having it coincide with OC's Homecoming will allow more of our alumni to be here since there will be OC activities for the families to be involved in. Many of the Delta alumni already participate in the OC Alumni golf outing on the Friday before Homecoming so if you like to play golf and can make it here by Friday, November 9, be sure and get a team together and sign up. Lets take over the OC campus on November 9th and 10th and remind them how good it is to be king!
