**UPDATE** Cooper Mosley is cancer free!

I posted a prayer request a few months ago for Cooper Mosley, son of Delta alum Chris Mosley. Chris emailed several weeks ago to let me know that as of August 12th, Cooper was declared cancer-free and he has since had his port removed. Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and prayers on behalf of the Mosley family.

Chris Mosley and family live in Chickasha and Chris operates insurance agencies in Chickasha and Edmond.

OC considers name change.....

If you haven't yet heard, OC is considering another name change. Let's see, there's been Central Christian College, Oklahoma Christian College, Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts(OCUSA), and now Oklahoma Christian University or just plain OC. The name change is being considered per university communications due to confusion between OC, OCU(Oklahoma City University), UCO(University of Central Oklahoma, formerly Central State University), and even OBU(Oklahoma Baptist), and others.
Is it possible that if we can put enough scratch together we might be able to get this thing renamed in our favor? Let me know if you have an extra $10,000,000.00 or so and maybe if there's enough response and no one's too selfish about the name, we could pool our contributions and not only change the name to Delta U., Delta State, or Delta Christian(don't laugh) but maybe even get the mascot changed to the Bulls and the colors changed to beautiful maroon and gold. If we could raise $60m and double the endowment at OC, I think we might get it done. Let me know.

Delta carwash this Saturday...Sept. 6th from 10am-3pm @ Mardels in Edmond

This Saturday, Sept. 6th from 10am to 3pm, Delta will be having a carwash at Mardel's in Edmond. Mardels is at the corner of Boulevard and 33rd. Delta has not set a price for the carwash but is seeking donations to help them finance rush, the spring golf tourney and many other activities they will be having this year. Please take time to head out there, get your car washed, drop some money in the tray, and identify yourself as one of the few and the proud. There's a rumor they will have snacks there for alumni. Winton is in charge of signage.

BE THERE! Help the Bulls start the year off strong.
